Minapa Sunni undalu - By Sowmya



Andariki namaskaram...Sunnundalu ante andhra pradesh lo andari ki telusu .Ivi chudataniki ,tinataniki bavuntayi.Mukyam ga pillalki idi chala manchidi.Chala twaraga ayipotayi.


Ingredients


Minappappu (urad dal) - 1 cup

biyyam (raw rice) - 1 tablespoon

Panchadara (sugar) - 1 cup

Ghee - 1 cup


Preperation


Dry roast urad dal on a medium flame till deep golden brown and till you get a nice aroma…which could take atleast 10-15 minutes.You should keep stirring the dal while dry roasting it lest it burns.Now dry roast raw rice in a vessel till brown and remove.Allow it to cool. Blend both the raw rice and urad dal to a fine powder.Keep aside.Blend the sugar to a fine powder.Melt ghee and mix together urad dal powder and powdered sugar in a wide plate.Slowly add hot ghee and keep mixing with hand, till the mix holds together.Make lime size balls.thesy must be stored in airtight container.


Tip: We can add jaggery instead of sugar or we can make with jaggery and sugar combination.
